This English version is a translation of the Japanese original. If there is any discrepancy between the two, the Japanese version prevails.

1.1 Information we do not collect (current version)

In its current version, the App does not collect the following:

We are considering adding usage analytics and crash reporting in the future. See Section 10.

1.2 About photos

Photos are handled within the App as records of what you achieved.

1.3 Device permissions

The App may ask for the following permissions. If you decline, you can still use everything except that feature.

Permission Purpose
Camera To take a photo for your record
Photos To choose a photo for your record, and to save photos you take to your device
Notifications To let you know when a Quest's deadline is near, when a friend request arrives, when you become friends, etc.

1.4 Information handled only on your device

The following information is handled only on your device and is not sent to our servers.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  1. Providing the App's features (recording achievements, viewing records, offering Quests)
  2. Identifying your account and carrying over your records when you change devices
  3. Notifying you when a Quest's deadline is near and about friend-related events
  4. Counting the "day" boundary (5 a.m. each morning) in your local time
  5. Providing friends, sending and receiving Quests, and Party Quests
  6. Verifying and granting coin purchases, checking that the same purchase is not granted twice, and responding to purchase inquiries
  7. Investigating the cause of problems (when you report one to us)
  8. Statistics for operating and improving the App (such as the number of users, the number of Quests accepted and completed, and the number of coin purchases). We aggregate these as totals, not per user. We do not identify individual users from these totals

We never use your information for advertising. We do not sell it to third parties.

3. Sharing with third parties

The App uses the following services to provide its features. Information is passed to them.

Service Provider Information passed
Supabase Supabase, Inc. Everything listed in Section 1
Firebase Cloud Messaging Google LLC Notification address and notification text
Apple Push Notification service Apple Inc. Notifications to iOS
Sign in with Apple Apple Inc. Information needed to verify sign-in

App Store Apple Inc. Processing and verifying coin purchases
Google Play Google LLC Processing and verifying coin purchases

Notification text includes the names of Quests you are working on and the display names of friends. Notifications reach your device through the services above.

Information stored in Supabase is kept on servers located in Japan.

Other than the above, we do not provide your information to third parties, except where disclosure is required by law.

4. Retention and deletion

4.1 Deleting your data

If you "Delete account" from the App's settings screen, all of the following is deleted:

This cannot be undone. Deleted records cannot be restored.

If you cannot use the App (for example, you lost your device), you can ask us to delete your data by contacting us at the address in Section 8 with your user ID (or the email address you registered). After confirming that the request comes from you, we delete the same data as "Delete account". If you used the App without creating an account, we cannot identify your data without your user ID.

However, the following remain after you delete your account:

4.2 Reasons for leaving

When you delete your account, we may ask you to choose a reason (optional; you can delete your account without answering).

Your answer is stored in a form that does not show who left. It is not linked to your identifier. We use it only in aggregate to improve the App.

If there is a free-text field, what you write there is stored as is. Please do not write anything that could identify you.

4.3 Notification address

If you turn off notifications in settings, your notification address is deleted. It is also deleted when you log out.

5. Information visible to other users

The App has no way to publish your records to all users or to strangers. Other users can see information about you only in the following cases.

Who can see it What they can see
Friends Display name, icon image, user ID, Traveler Lv and XP, start date, number of achievements, number of completed Packs, and records whose visibility you set to "Friends" (photo and comment)
Party Quest participants Display name, icon image, and records you made in that Party (photo and comment). Participants are not necessarily your friends. We tell you this before you join
People you send a Quest to Display name, user ID, and the note you attach
People who know your user ID Your display name and icon image on the friend search screen. You can turn off being found by ID in settings

5.1 Sharing outside the App

Your records leave the App only when you share your own record yourself. Before sharing, we show you a screen where you can check what is included.

There is no feature for sharing a friend's records outside the App. Other users cannot share your records outside the App without your knowledge.

6. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the App.

The App includes content that assumes users go out and act in the real world. For this reason, the App is intended for ages 13 and up.

If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you are aware of such a case, please contact us at the address in Section 8.

7. Security

8. Contact

For inquiries about this policy, please contact:

Email: contact@funnyfingers.net

9. Changes to this policy

We may change this policy as needed. If we make important changes, we will announce them in the App or on this page.

10. Features we are considering adding

We are considering adding the following features. They do not work in the current version, and we do not collect this information.

10.1 Usage analytics

We are considering collecting aggregate data on which screens are used and where people get stuck, to improve the App. It would not be used to identify individual users.

10.2 Crash reports

We are considering a feature that automatically sends information about the cause when the App closes unexpectedly. It would be used only to investigate the cause.

10.3 When we add them

When we add any of these, we will revise this policy and announce it in advance in the App or on this page.
